Position: Financial Analyst
Division: Corporate Banking Division

Job Summary:
Financial Analysts are responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of clients to determine the likelihood that they will honor their financial obligations. Financial Analysts evaluate a borrower’s past financial and credit history to determine their financial health and their ability to repay credit advanced to them by a lender & will then recommend the credit limit for a client based on Bank policy.

Job Responsibilities:
– Assist Relationship Managers/Unit Heads/Dept. Heads in preparation of credit proposals and credit memos and other credit related reports.
– Assess creditworthiness of existing or prospective clients
– Examine financial transactions and credit history case by case (applications, statements, balance sheets, legal documents etc)
– Complete ratio, trend and cash flows analyses and create projections
– Deliver a multidimensional perspective on the proposed lending in an accessible and informative manner and in line with approved formats
– Determine in depth the degree of risk involved
– Carefully analyze and dissect data and produce clear and objective reports as and when required
– Routinely monitor exposures for compliance and to detect early warning signals
– Monitor corporate portfolio asset quality on an ongoing basis
– Adhere to credit policy and guidelines
– Draft models of credit information that predict trends and patterns
– Ensure all activities are carried out according to bank’s policies, procedures, and standards.
– Participate in other related initiatives and projects as assigned or other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Experience & Qualification Required:
– BS degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field
– ACCA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent professional qualification such as CFA etc. This is an essential pre-requisite
– Over 5 years’ experience as a credit/financial analyst in a Commercial/Investment bank/Financial Institution
