Assistant Manager – Operational Risk

General Description (job summary):

Responsible to identify, monitor, assess and report the operational risk in the bank. Ensuring these aspects are embedded into the operations of the Bank in consultation with the Head of Operational Risk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on risk analysis.
 Guide/Support the Principal Risk Owners and Operational Risk Coordinators with the identification of key risks and mitigating controls in their business units, as well as action plans to address any gaps in the mitigating measures identified.
 Operational Risk Incident Management
 Follow up with the process owner on monthly basis on the actions taken to manage their operational risks.
 Conduct Risk Assessment for various department as per agreed RCSA Plan.
 Conduct general Operational Risk Assessment.
 Providing Awareness to the bank on Operational Risk.

Educational qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ banking experience preferably in Operations, Retail or Audit.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Business Administration
